Main Body

On to the body…….

Here’s the really big advantages of a WordPress site……..  The body layout can vary page by page.  You don’t get that with regular WordPress themes, templates, whatever.  This is where the heavy coding and the extreme differences come into play between us and others.

You can change your layout by simply selecting the layout when you make the page………..  Crazy huh?  Are you ready to be amazed with all your options? Okay, let’s go!

You can see the differences on the page examples below, you have choices.

These are two page choices you have to put content only on the right.

This is recommended for some sites because many people find it less distracting to have nothing on the left.

You can see I selected the option with 2 widgets, you can tell because it’s got the dark line around it.

Now obviously there are a couple issues, if you choose the wide page layout for the overall layout of your site then your header is a certain fixed size.  So you can’t change other pages to “narrow” without having the header overlap past the “page”.

There are ways around that……  You can get the narrow page “look” but not having that effect by just making your widget areas empty for that page.  I’m not sure why a person would do that but you can.

Does this seem unbelievable?  To have all these options for less than a few thousand dollars?  I know, it does.  Be sure to read the About page and find out how it happened.

Featured Areas

We give you something you don’t get everywhere else…… Feature areas.

Feature areas are widgetized areas that you can either put a widget or put regular HTML text, for example, look at my Special offer area on this website. That is a widget area.  I can change my “opt in” offer whenever I want.  Now setting that up does require knowing a good bit of html, but not because of  the theme, but setting the text, photo, auto-responder, etc.

Another thing that is great to use for the Feature Areas for, is advertising if you have paid advertising on your site.

Se here they are, again, these are screenshots from the area you would have as well!

So as you see I have “none” selected for my site.  I could have one large “widget” area, or break it up.  The size you have to work with varies obviously for the “widget” you choose.

Now for the bottom feature area, which on my website you see the weather and a Google News feed.

So, as you see, there are choices here as well.  The cool thing is, since they are independent of other functions on the page (thank you CSS) they flow with each page’s length.

Changing them with a click of a mouse is easy.  So you can keep your site looking fresh.
